Scouting Report
Considered one of the best athletes in the draft with a 4.41 40-yard dash, the 6-0, 188-pound speedster was frequently overshadowed at LSU by elite talent including Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. while battling injuries and finishing with just 41 career receptions across 38 games. His deep ball tracking, gravity-defying hang time, and IQ are real assets but inconsistencies in technique and effort have concerned evaluators. Projects as a seventh-round pick or UDFA with upside if he finds the right situation.
Player Comparison
Dee Eskridge
Strengths
- Hilton tracks the ball well downfield and consistently runs under long throws.
- Combines speed, balance, quickness, vision and crisp cuts to leave defensive backs and linebackers in the dust.
- He’s a precise route runner, creating separation when used on quick outs and stop patterns in college. He has good stop-start ability and lateral agility.
- He has strong hands and is extremely competitive, and Hilton has an innate sense of timing when it comes to elevating and high-pointing balls.
- A slippery runner with elusive footwork. Has little to no wasted movements between the reception and burst upfield.
- Hilton shows suddenness off the line of scrimmage and accelerates quickly, and his top-end speed is among the best in this draft.
- Has elite balance tight-roping the sideline and in-and-out of his breaks, showing excellent start-stop ability and burst.
Areas to Improve
- Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
- Doesn't have the size to consistently win on the outside, but can be productive working the middle of the field and as a return man.
- Hilton also had problems with drops when coming back to the action. Hilton has some issues against press coverage, sometimes spending too much time hand fighting at the line of scrimmage.

- For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
- Similarity Percentage
- : This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis
- of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is
- conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023.
- This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however,
- that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
